BEFORE YOU PLUG IN

Thailand electricity & adapters

Thailand’s electricity supply: generally described as 220–230 V, 50 Hz. Both 220 V and 230 V are cited by travel and electrical guidance. Check the input rating printed on your device before connecting it.

Most travelers should pack a universal travel adapter. A plug adapter changes the pin shape; it does not convert voltage. Phones and laptops commonly accept 100–240 V, but you must check the actual charger label. Appliances rated only 110–120 V may require a suitably rated voltage converter or should not be used.
